Advanced Dry Eye Treatment in Flushing, Queens

Dry eye is more than a minor irritation. Burning, tearing, redness, fluctuating vision, and a gritty sensation can all be signs that the surface of your eyes is unhealthy. Dry eye develops when the eyes do not produce enough tears, when the tears are poor quality, or when tears evaporate too quickly.

At New York Eye and Glaucoma Specialist PLLC, we provide a comprehensive and sophisticated approach to dry eye care. Rather than simply recommending artificial tears, we evaluate the underlying cause of your symptoms, including tear film instability, meibomian gland dysfunction, eyelid inflammation, and ocular surface disease, and then create a personalized treatment plan.

Treatment may include preservative-free artificial tears, prescription dry eye medications, eyelid hygiene, treatment for meibomian gland dysfunction, punctal plugs, and in selected cases amniotic membrane therapy to help promote healing of the ocular surface and improve significant inflammation or damage to the cornea.

Our goal is not only to relieve discomfort, but also to improve the health of the ocular surface, stabilize vision, and support long-term eye wellness. This is especially important for patients with chronic symptoms, heavy screen use, contact lens intolerance, or those preparing for cataract and other eye surgery.

If you suffer from dry, irritated, watery, or tired eyes, we offer advanced dry eye evaluation and treatment tailored to your needs.
