Dr. Yufei Tu is a Harvard fellowship-trained, board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, presbyopia-correcting surgery, glaucoma, and dry eye treatment. As the founder of New York Eye and Glaucoma Specialist PLLC in Flushing, New York, he provides care for a wide range of routine and complex eye conditions, with special expertise in advanced glaucoma treatment, laser-assisted cataract surgery, presbyopia-correcting lens procedures, and ocular surface disease.
Dr. Tu completed his ophthalmology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, followed by two fellowship trainings in ophthalmic pathology and glaucoma at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in ophthalmology, conducted many clinical trials and is an active member of major professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and ASCRS.

Dr. Tu has extensive experience in managing both routine and complex eye conditions. He is a highly skilled surgeon, performing cataract surgery with advanced presbyopia-correcting lens implants and femtosecond laser technology. Fellow ophthalmologists frequently refer patients with challenging glaucoma cases to him for specialized care.
In treating glaucoma, Dr. Tu utilizes the most advanced therapies, including cutting-edge medications, state-of-the-art laser treatments, and both conventional and the latest breakthrough micro-invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS).
